September 14 Fundraising Launch Party

For our first event we spent the afternoon poolside with margaritas, yummy food and a short presentation to help educate guests on our cause. We were overwhelmed with the generosity and support shown by all attendees as well as out of town donors. We raised over $12,000, surpassing our fundraising goal!

The funds raised at this event will support a reading intervention program called Read Naturally at Guerrero-Thompson Elementary School. The school lost the funding to continue this subscription for the 2024-25 school year. This program provides individualized help to each student with reading quizzes, phonics lessons, teacher assessments and much more. After the subscription was started 3 years ago the school saw drastic improvements in reading standardized test scores. We are excited to be able to provide the funding needed to continue the program at this school.
